Proprietor, Licensee and Professional Dog Groomer

I’ve always been an animal lover, in particular dogs. We’ve had them in our family ever since I was a child. Currently, with Rich, I’m the proud owner of three adorable “furry-kids” – Darcie a seven year old Giant Schnauzer and two Italian Spinone boys; Chester aged six and Sebastian aged two.

If truth be known, they are our inspiration to acquiring our own dog boarding business as we’ve never found the right place that we’ve been 100% happy with when we’ve needed our ‘kids’ to be looked after.

I attained my City and Guilds Level 3 Dog Grooming Qualification in 2015 whilst studying at the Warwickshire Dog Grooming Academy – an accredited training school that is part of Heavenlyz Ltd, one of the UK’s leading Animal Care and Grooming Training businesses. I’m Pet First Aid qualified too and along with Rich, I’m also Level 3 IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) qualified in dog boarding and daycare management.

Prior to acquiring Happy Hounds a i ran my own successful dog grooming business in Bedworth, Warwickshire from 2014 to 2019 and from the ground up, I built an enviable reputation for providing excellent grooms in a modern and spotlessly clean facility together with genuine first-class customer service. And I loved every minute of it!

Before entering the grooming profession, I spent over 26 years in the corporate world working as a successful senior marketing professional for one of the world’s largest express delivery firms. I’ve also ran my own marketing consultancy, working with different SME’s helping them grow their business by developing a customer centric approach to revenue growth and success.

Combining my business background, grooming experience and animal care qualifications with an enormous passion and love of dogs – puts me in good position to understand the needs of our customers and to know the importance of entrusting someone to look after their beloved family member.
